BANJALUKA, September 12 /SRNA/ - Head of the Srpska Centre for Research of War, War Crimes and Search for the Missing Milorad Kojic told Srna on Wednesday work methodologies have been defined for independent international commissions in charge of establishing the truth about the suffering of all peoples in the Srebrenica region and about the suffering of Serbs in Sarajevo.

Kojic says the deadline for forming the commissions is October 18.

"We have defined the work methodologies together with the Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska, which is the implementing agency on this project. The methodologies stipulate the commissions’ operations, the conditions for their operations and aspects to be analysed,” added Kojic.

He emphasised that talks were underway with the people who will sit on the commissions.

"We are carrying out certain activities every day and everything will be finished within the deadlines given by the Srpska Government. Other ministries help us too since they have recognised the significance of the matter the commissions will deal with,” said Kojic.

On August 14, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska unanimously rejected a 2004 report of the Srebrenica Commission about the events that occurred in the eastern town between July 10 and July 19, 1995 and asked the Government to declare it null and void and form two independent international commissions to establish the truth about the suffering of all peoples in Srebrenica and suffering of Serbs in Sarajevo. /end/ds
