BANJALUKA, September 21 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic expressed gratitude to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for his visit to Banjaluka and stressed that his messages were encouraging.


“Messages we heard were encouraging, and they speak of the preservation of the Dayton Agreement, understanding of BiH and Republika Srpska, which was verified by that Agreement,” Cvijanovic told reporters at Banjaluka Airport prior to farewelling the Russian Minister.

Cvijanovic has said that Srpska has always had good cooperation with the Russian Federation, that there exist political understanding and many joint economic projects.

She said that Banjaluka, where citizens welcomed and farewelled the guest, demonstrated that it can be a good host to such a high-ranking official and that everything can be at a high level.

“Today is a wonderful, excellent day. I express my gratitude on behalf of the Government, Republika Srpska citizens and all institutions for this visit and such a beautiful day,” Cvijanovic has said and added that it is important that citizens gathered today in Banjaluka.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today visited Sarajevo, Istocno Sarajevo and Banjaluka. /end/sg
