BANJALUKA, JULY 2 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Čubrilović says the deputies will not be denied their rights, and that everyone will have the same obligations after the new parliamentary Rules of Procedure are adopted.

"The cooperation between those who lead the National Assembly, MPs and guests is important, i.e. that everyone respects the highest legislative institution. I hope it will be the case in further work," Čubrilović told the press after the National Assembly session.

He points out that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska is still the most efficient legislative institution in BiH.

Čubrilović reminded the decision to start drafting the new Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly was made in Octobar last year.

"Each assembly having its own Rules of Procedure is a practice. All deputies and caucuses had opportunity and enough time to submit proposals, and many did. The essence is that we had eight, nine months to agree on the new Rules of Procedure, which was quite enough", pointed out Čubrilović and reminded that a consensus was reached on the Rules of Procedure only once in the National Assembly, in 2012.

He expressed regret that no consensus had been reached on the new Rules of Procedure and stated that a high degree of agreement on this document had been reached in the Legislative Committee.

Čubrilović mentioned that the date, place and manner of holding the next session of the National Assembly will be decided next week. /end/vos
