ŠTRBAC: RETURN MUNICIPALITIES SELECTED AS BASES OF EUROPEAN WASTE

DRVAR, JULY 4 /SRNA/ - Delegate of Serb people in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ Aleksandar Štrbac called on the residents of Drvar not to give up their intention to protect their own and their children's health as regards that the returnee municipalities in FBiH are selected as bases of European waste.

"The saddest thing of all is that during the world pandemic, loaded columns of trucks with /non/ hazardous waste, delivered from the world's coronavirus hotspot, move freely on the roads of BiH", Štrbac said SRNA, after the waste from Italy was brought to the Drvar municipality.

Štrbac stated that the representatives of the local community, in cooperation with the cantonal and federal representatives, are doing everything to solve this problem as soon as possible.

"We must not give up on protecting the health of our children and each of our citizens", Štrbac pointed out.

The mayor of the municipality of Drvar Dušica Runić told SRNA earlier that about 300 tons of textile waste had been unloaded in the area of the former company "Grmeč". /end/bo
