ZAVIDOVIĆI, September 10 /SRNA/ - More than 600 participants of the Trails of Exodus 2019 march walked a 22-kilometer path from the village of Tumare on Mount Ozren to the settlement of Stog near Vozuća in the municipality of Zavidovići on Tuesday, marking the 24h anniversary of the expulsion of Serbs from Vozuća, the Krivaja river valley and southern parts of Ozren.


The Trails of Exodus 2019 march was attended by participants from Banjaluka, Bijeljina, Laktaši, Srbac, Prnjavor, Vukosavlje, Modriča, Derventa, Petrovo and Doboj.

Mayors of Vukosavlje Borislav Rakić and Petrovo Ozren Petković, members of the 3rd Infantry Republika Srpska Regiment of the BiH Armed Forces, as well as the former war-time commander of the Border Regiment of the Serbian Army at Košare, Colonel Duško Šljivančanin, and a Košare veteran Nenad Stanić took part in the march.

The participants walked from Gornja Brijesnica, through Kvrg, Malčići, Borovac, Lozna up to Stog, the path that Serbs from Vozuća and the Krivaja valley took to escape from the so-called Army of BiH and mercenaries of Islamic countries who expelled the entire Serb population from the area.

When the march is over, a holy liturgy and memorial service for the people killed on the Vozuća frontline will be held in the St George’s Church in Stog.

After that, candles will be lit and wreaths laid to the graves of the dead and missing members of the Army of Republika Srpska units from Vozuća and other places who took part in the defence of the Serb people in the area. /end/dš
