BANJA LUKA, MARCH 2 /SRNA/ - The President of the Republik Srpska Željka Cvijanović received the Ambassador of Japan to BiH Makoto Ito in an inaugural visit and informed him about the current epidemiological situation, vaccination plan against coronavirus, and other current political and economic issues.


Cvijanović expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Republika Srpska is able to organize the process of immunization of the population, and that there is continuity in the procurement of vaccines in accordance with the needs.

The interest of the Republika Srpska in improving cooperation in various fields, such as the economy, environmental protection, tourism, culture and education was emphasized during the meeting, it was announced from the Office of the Republika Srpska President.

Cvijanović thanked for Japan's help and support in the implementation of a number of projects in the field of health and education, as well as in the implementation of numerous other projects with the aim of improving living and working conditions in the Republika Srpska.

Cvijanović gave a welcome to the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan and wished him a successful mandate. /end/bo
