BANJALUKA, October 8 /SRNA/ - The Republika Srpska National Assembly reviewed Tuesday evening the reports on the state of affairs in the Republika Srpska banking system, and on the business operations and results with the financial statement by the Republika Srpska Banking Agency for the past year. Chairman of the Committee for coordination of supervision of the Republika Srpska Financial Sector Rade Rastoka said Tuesday in Banjaluka that members of the Committee in the past year have influenced the preservation of stability, growth and development of the financial sector in Srpska. The National Assembly reviewed the report on the implementation of the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of Srpska 2017-2021 under the title "Knowledge for Development" for the period from October 1, 2017 to June 30, 2019.

BANJALUKA, October 8 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Željka Cvijanović said in Brussels on Tuesday that without authorities being formed, BiH cannot hope for funds from the EU budget earmarked for the Western Balkans that will be significantly higher than in the previous period.

SARAJEVO, October 8 /SRNA/ - Huge amount of unexploded ordnance and ammunition found so far in Mostar Lake has been removed or destroyed, and this operation will continue until the lake is fully cleared, according to the Federal Civil Protection Administration.

BELGRADE, October 8 /SRNA/ - A ceremony marking the 800th anniversary of the independence of the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/ titled "Zavet Svetog Save" began Tuesday evening in Belgrade in the presence of top Serbian and Republika Srpska officials.

BELGRADE, October 8 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said in Belgrade Tuesday evening that he considers the Order of Saint Simeon Mirotočivi, which he was awarded with by the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/, an order for the entire people of Republika Srpska.

SREMSKA RAČA, October 8 /SRNA/ - The cornerstone for the construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway was laid on Tuesday in Sremska Raka by the presidents of Serbia Aleksandar Vucčić and Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as BiH Presidency members Milorad Dodik, Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović.

SREMSKA RAČA, October 8 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said at a ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway construction that this is a historically important day, when the construction of the bridge and motorway begins which should connect Serbia, Republika Sprska, BiH, Banjaluka, Belgrade, Tuzla and Brčko.

SREMSKA RAČA, October 8 /SRNA/ - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić says the beginning of the construction of the first section of the Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway, from Kuzmin to Sremska Rača, is one of the most important events in the region's history.

SREMSKA RAČA, October 8 /SRNA/ - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in Sremska Rača on Tuesday that the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway is a historic moment for Serbia, BiH and Turkey, i.e. for the peace and stability at the Balkans.
