SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 19 /SRNA/ - The US Embassy said today they could not comment on questions about defining an inter-еntity boundary line.

“The US Embassy cannot comment on the question you referred to,” says the Public Relations Office of the US Embassy in response to Srna’s question about the statement from FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić who said that the FBiH would not participate in any talks about defining an inter-entity boundary line.

The US Embassy did not answer the question as to whether there will be any sanctions against federal politicians due to their failure to meet the Dayton obligation in keeping with Annex 2 to the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH.

Srna also asked if the US Embassy would make a layout plan available in order to define an inter-entity boundary line.

FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said yesterday that the FBiH had not participated nor would it ever participate in any inter-entity boundary line-related talks.

According to Annex 2 to the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH, Republika Srpska, BiH and the FBiH have an obligation to form a joint commission that should draft a document that would contain a precise technical description of an inter-entity boundary line, the NATO HQ in Sarajevo told SRNA.

The Dayton Peace Agreement established the ratio of territories between the FBiH and Srpska - 51 to 49 percent.

The inter-entity boundary line is 1,150 kilometers long and covers 42 municipalities of Republika Srpska, and it cuts exactly 279 cadastral municipalities and passes through 520 kilometers of private estates. /end/sg
