CELEBRATING REPUBLIC DAY UNDER SLOGAN - SYMBOL OF FREEDOM

BANJALUKA, DECEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - "Symbol of freedom" is this year's slogan for the Republika Srpska Day, and it represents Republika Srpska, our free homeland that the Serb people created with love and defended with courage, but also explains how necessary it is to defend that freedom today and in the future.

The freedom of Republika Srpska is guaranteed by the Dayton Peace Accords. However, the violation of this agreement and the constant pressures from international factors such as the attempted seizure of property, the court process being conducted before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the acting director of the "Official Gazette" Miloš Lukić, warn that it is important to rally around Republika Srpska with the aim of protecting it. Republika Srpska, that is, the "Symbol of Freedom" is our land, rivers, nature, alphabet, history, tradition, but also our liberation struggle and the sacrifice given, and with that, this important message is being sent on Republika Srpska Day on January 9. Freedom has a deeply rooted meaning in the history, culture and collective identity of the Serbian people. The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik previously announced that the celebration of Srpska's birthday will be grand. "The Republika Srpska Day is sacred! It will be celebrated in a glorious way, and an important statesman will be presented with a decoration," said Dodik. He called on all citizens of Srpska to gather around Republika Srpska and celebrate its freedom. On the occasion of celebrating the Republic Day, a formal academy will be held on January 8, while the central event will be held on January 9. On that day, at Trg Krajine in Banja Luka, a ceremonial parade will begin at 5:00 p.m. Spectacular lighting effects were organized with around 200 drones. After the ceremonial parade, a concert will be held, with the performances of Danica Crnogorčević, who will premiere the song "Za život Srpske" and "Pukni zoro", Baja Mali Knindža, who will perform a song dedicated to Republika Srpska, and many other performers.
