NO TRANSFER OF COMPETENCES UNDER THE GUISE OF EUROPEAN STORIES

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 16 /SRNA/ - The SNSD will not allow the transfer of competences from Republika Srpska to BiH under the guise of European stories, said today Milorad Kojić, the representative of this party in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
"You will not witness that we, with our coalition partners from Republika Srpska, will cede any jurisdiction, even if it concerns European laws," Kojić told the press in Sarajevo, where the emergency session of the House of Representatives was postponed today. Kojić pointed to the constant aspiration of the SNSD being no longer part of the government and the target of persistent blackmail. According to him, the SNSD will not vote for what the Federation of BiH and Bosniak political parties want, in order to stay in power. "They want the exclusive transfer of competences. In that case, we cannot be partners at the BiH level because we will not betray what is our main motive for activity in the House of Representatives, which is the constitutional order of Republika Srpska," Kojić said. He pointed out that the SNSD is the absolute winner of the 2022 elections with six deputies in the House of Representatives, eight together with the coalition partners from Republika Srpska. "They persistently try to subvert the transfer of competences jurisdiction through the European story, which we do not allow. It is obvious that we are not an adequate partner or they are trying to blackmail us, which they cannot," Kojić said. The emergency session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has been postponed to January 23. Two bills are on the agenda - on border control and on BiH personal data protection, which are key priorities on the European path of BiH.
