DODIK: WE WILL ASK FOR LIST OF 40,000 PEOPLE FINANCED BY USAID IN BiH

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 7 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik announced that Republika Srpska will ask the USA for a list of 40,000 people in BiH who are financed by USAID funds.

Dodik mentioned that Republika Srpska will adopt a law on the work of non-governmental organizations, stating that this act will not prohibit any type of activity. "It's just that their activities must be clearly known as far as the state of Republika Srpska is concerned. To know how it was all financed. Was VAT paid? We will ask the service for indirect taxes to let us know how and when they paid taxes, excise duties and everything else they were supposed to pay. We will carry out entire financial investigations," Dodik stressed. Dodik said at the press conference that with that law, non-governmental organizations will have to report their sources of funding. "If it is found that you have received something, but do not report it - it will be a criminal offense," Dodik emphasized.
