MARKALE PROJECT DEVELOPED IN AMERICA, MARKET MODEL ALSO MADE

BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 3 /SRNA/ - Former intelligence officer of the Serbian Army, retired general Jovan Milanović, told SRNA that the explosion operation at the Markale market in Sarajevo was engineered and that the American secret services and Muslim forces from Bosnia and Herzegovina worked on it.

Milanović said that he received information from two sources of international forces in BiH that a model of the Markale market was made not far from Washington in the city of Alexandria on the Potomac River, and that the project was done by the American secret services, and Muslim forces from BiH participated in everything. As he said, they placed the model where they normally prepared the entire action in the United States and calculated the effects, that is, the losses, and that is why the entire operation was prepared a month earlier than it was carried out. They concluded, Milanović added, that the project can succeed by finding a model that will be incriminating for Republika Srpska at that moment, and that means the places where the shots were fired, the weapons that were used, and more. The entire information and data that were collected about it at that time, he stated, were hidden for two to three days in UNPROFOR and the forces that were in that area, and they sent it to the UN Security Council when it was already too late and when Republika Srpska was accused of being the player of the "Markale" operation and that an attack on it was imminent. "The goal was to retaliate against Republika Srpska, and in military terminology this means the demolition of everything that exists, that is, the disabling of a territory, both in terms of infrastructure, combat equipment and personnel. Therefore, it was very radical," Milanović said. He said that he got the information about Markale from two sources, who were members of the international forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one of them is the French officer Pierre-Henri Bunel, while even to this day he doesn't want to reveal the other source for security reasons for this man. "Markale served as a scenario for the operation they planned in connection with the NATO aggression against Yugoslavia," Milanović pointed out.
