NEW RESOLUTION ON SREBRENICA WILL AGAIN BE STOPPED BY RUSSIAN "NYET"
SARAJEVO, MARCH 8 /SRNA/ - The Russian "nyet" will certainly prevent the passage of a new resolution on Srebrenica if it appears before the UN General Assembly, said SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Milorad Kojić.
"Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has exceptional relations with Russia and President Vladimir Putin, and with that in mind, I am sure that the Russian `nyet` is guaranteed if this resolution appears before the Security Council," Kojić told reporters. After Večernje Novosti learned that the Bosniak part of the BiH mission to the UN is working independently, without a decision of the BiH Presidency, on a new resolution on Srebrenica that should be presented at a session of the UN General Assembly in April, Kojić has said that diplomacy in BiH does not exist. He has added that Bosniak diplomats are trying to implement certain resolutions independently and secretly, including this one on Srebrenica, through which they would insert a term that does not correspond to what happened in Srebrenica into textbooks in Republika Srpska and throughout BiH. Kojić reminded that when he was the director of the Republic Center for the Research on War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons, the Government of Srpska formed an International Commission that investigated the suffering of all the nations in the Srebrenica region, including Bosniaks, and concluded that there was no genocide. "The commission also said that terrible crimes were committed against Serbs between 1991 and 1995, which Bosniaks refused to acknowledge or accept in any way, and, unfortunately, institutions such as The Hague Tribunal, which acquitted Naser Orić, did not want to accept it either, and he was then acquitted by the Court of BiH," emphasized Kojić. Kojić noted that they are trying to say through the lens of that resolution that this is the path to reconciliation. "The path to reconciliation is when the crimes committed are recognized and when those crimes are properly termed, and not when one tries to build a unitary BiH through the crimes that took place," Kojić said, adding that this is present both with Bosniaks and the international community. He has said that there will be reconciliation when the Bosniaks say that they committed crimes against Serbs in Podrinje, but they do not want to take a step towards reconciliation and instead create an even bigger crisis in BiH.
