GREAT EASTER ASSEMBLY OF SERBIA AND SRPSKA ON MAY 5 AND 6

BELGRADE, MARCH 18 /SRNA/ - The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, at today's meeting, which was also attended by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, agreed that on May 5 and 6 great Easter Assembly of Serbia and Republika Srpska will be held in Belgrade and in other parts of Serbia, the press service of the President of Serbia announced.

BELGRADE, MARCH 18 /SRNA/ - The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, at today's meeting, which was also attended by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, agreed that on May 5 and 6 great Easter Assembly of Serbia and Republika Srpska will be held in Belgrade and in other parts of Serbia, the press service of the President of Serbia announced.



At that Assembly, important decisions will be made about the survival of the Serbian people on centuries-old hearths, their economic progress, preservation of the Serbian language, the Cyrillic alphabet and common cultural heritage, Vučić said. According to his words, the governments of Serbia and Srpska will prepare a declaration and possibly other general legal acts that will be submitted in the same text for adoption by the national assemblies of Serbia and Republika Srpska. "We informed the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije about the gravity of the political situation in which the entire Serbian people find themselves and asked His Holiness for the blessing and support of the Serbian Orthodox Church," said Vučić and stated that the public will be informed about all other details in the coming period.
