DODIK: WE WILL NOT APPLY SCHMIDT’S INTERVENTIONS

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has told SRNA today that Srpska is not going to apply Christian Schmidt’s interventions on the BiH Election Law, but will run the elections according to its own law; if the Central Election Commission /CEC/BiH tries to organise something, it will be prevented from doing so.
"He has intervened again today on the BiH Electoral Law, which Republika Srpska is not going to apply. We will adopt our electoral law by the beginning of the second half of this month and run the elections in accordance with it, not respecting what Schmidt is imposing," Dodik said. He reiterated that everything Sschmidt is doing leads to the downfall of BiH and there is no way to impose BiH through certain measures, which no one wants. "Of course, Schmidt lies whatever he does and behaves falsely. We are all tired of the story on him not being legally elected. He ignores it and tries to make a play out of it. Who is the bigger fool here, we who say you are not appointed at the UN and how can you speak about it, or he who says I don't really care about the UN because the USA, Great Britain and Germany are patting me on the shoulder. I think he's playing a fool of himself," said Dodik. He pointed out that the internationals destroyed the Dayton Peace Agreement, with Schmidt, who is fake, as the most visible way of it. Dodik repeated that Schmidt has no right to impose, frauds are no longer tolerable, stating that being said that technical changes should serve for fair elections are old tricks. "The OSCE has said every time that the elections were fair and honest. Technical changes can be accepted, but the amendment to the Constitution is wanted now, which would make the CEC a more important body than the governments in some countries that will pursue politicians and list requirements that do not exist anywhere," Dodid added. He says that Schmidt is planting this up as a cuckoo's egg, because the CEC has no authority for local and republican elections. "Now they want heads of the election commissions in our villages, hamlets and schools to appoint the CEC, which can be qualified as the Sarajevo Commission. This is an insidious move from Sarajevo, and then it was said that one day money will be provided in the BiH budget to pay these presidents as civil servants, which will not do," Dodik emphasized. Srpska, he noted, will run the elections according to its own law, and if the CEC tries to organise something in Srpska, they will be physically prevented. "We will arrest them for false representation, and let Schmidt play and do what he wants," concluded Dodik. According to the corrections published by OHR, six members of the current convocation of the Central Electoral Commission /CEC/ will remain until 2027, as they are not subject to retirement provisions. According to the original decision, Schmidt imposed provisions according to which CEC members who reached the age of 65 would have their terms of office expire.
