ST. PETERSBURG, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has pointed out today at the International Meeting of Security Representatives in St. Petersburg that Republika Srpska is under permanent sanctions headed by the USA, but is doing everything on protection measures.

In his address, Dodik pointed to the global problem in the crisis of supply chains due to politically motivated sanctions. "Republika Srpska is directly exposed to this type of risk and is under constant sanctions headed by the USA. We are doing everything we can to protect it through the diversification of sources of supply," said Dodik, who was the first to speak at the Security Meeting as part of the first plenary session "Ensuring Information Security in the conditions of the formation of a polycentric world order: challenges and opportunities". He stated that the answer to that challenge lies in the construction of a multilateral platform and information that will contain data on all manufacturers and detailed characteristics of equipment that will be managed by states that guarantee the quality of information. "In this way, global accessibility of technical information and diversification of supply chains will be enabled," Dodik pointed out. Also, the president of Srpska pointed to the problem of the danger of direct cyber attacks. "The answer to this challenge lies in multilateral interstate frameworks for the exchange of information on threats," said Dodik. As a problem, Dodik cited the mass use of artificial intelligence, stressing that in the future attacks by systems based on artificial intelligence against institutions and critical state infrastructures can be expected. "The answer to this challenge lies in the necessity of state protection systems in the form of providing national cyber space," Dodik believes. Dodik considers the protection of children and youth from harmful internet content a priority of the greatest importance, stating that Republika Srpska has studiously approached this issue through the development of national protection measures. The session where Dodik addressed is chaired by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev. The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir attended the session with President Dodik. Republika Srpska Senator Aleksandar Vulin and Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers Nenad Nešić are also attending the international meeting.
