HOW MANY NAMES OF LIVING PEOPLE ARE ENGRAVED ON GRAVESTONES IN POTOČARI AND CIPS HAS NO RECORD OF THEM?

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 28 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said today that the question arises as to how many names of living people are engraved on the gravestones in Potočari, while CIPS has no record of them because they live in Sweden, Germany, Canada, Australia and other countries.

"I am convinced that there are at least three or four times more than those 87 names we have discovered," Dodik told reporters in Jezero, commenting on claims from the Federation of BiH that the names of the living mistakenly ended up on the gravestones in Potočari. "How can someone say it is a mistake when it concerns more than 80 people for whom CIPS data shows they are alive? Now they will keep dragging this story about investigations, but what is there to investigate? You look at the data and clearly see whether someone is alive or not," said Dodik. The President of Srpska cited the example of a driver in the Srebrenica municipality, whose name is engraved on the memorial in Potočari as if he were a victim, but he is alive, having earned a pension in Republika Srpska, which he receives from the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of Srpska. "And now that's a mistake. That is not called a mistake, but a deception. And that deception must become clear to everyone, including those who defend it," emphasized Dodik. The District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina said earlier that it will form a case regarding the CIPS list of people who are alive but are registered as victims who died in Srebrenica, and initiate an investigation. SRNA published a list of 87 individuals whose names are engraved on the memorial plaques at the Memorial Center, but are recorded in the new CIPS database. SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Milorad Kojić previously said that 816 names are engraved on the memorial in Potočari that were never listed in the pre-war civil registry, a record similar to today's CIPS.
