ĐOKIĆ: WE WILL SUPPORT DOCUMENT ON PEACEFUL DISASSOCIATION

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 30 /SRNA/ - The leader of the Socialist Party, Petar Đokić, says he will support the document on peaceful disassociation in BiH, aimed at improving relations in this area.

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 30 /SRNA/ - The leader of the Socialist Party, Petar Đokić, says he will support the document on peaceful disassociation in BiH, aimed at improving relations in this area.

Đokić has pointed out that the document’s spirit is the most important thing, which will be offered to the National Assembly and the Government, as well as the Federation of BiH. "It carries within itself the desire to have a stable and peaceful life in these areas and to remove any dilemma and doubt of conflict possibility, but to see how we can improve life," Đokić told the press in Banja Luka. He stated that he did not participate in document development, but that a special working group was appointed, as well as that he has confidence in what the President of the Republic did on the issue. "We will support that activity. The idea to discuss it with another entity in BiH arose as a product of numerous misunderstandings since the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed," said Đokić. He pointed out that, on the one hand, we are constantly faced with the intent of viewing the Dayton Peace Agreement as a temporary model of the BiH organisation that will be rejected at certain time. "That was the tendency of the politics that came from Sarajevo, which practice still continues," says Đokić. He noted that Republika Srpska had a delay in commitment to consistently apply the Dayton Peace Agreement, which was after-war period, before 1998, as the docukment was because then they considered a betrayal of Srpska, but since then it has been consistently implemented. "We would another entity to be aware of this and to give a clear answer on that issue. The idea of disassociation is not the idea of tearing up some material and throwing it away, but of opening a dialogue that will improve relations if possible, if not than to define relations on some new principles,” Đokić concluded.
