BOSNIAK PROTÉGÉ FROM JEWISH COMMUNITY IN SARAJEVO FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST HEAD OF JEWISH COMMUNITY IN MOSTAR, KABIRI

SARAJEVO, JULY 16 /SRNA/ - Vladimir Andrle, president of the Jewish Cultural and Educational Society La Benevolencija based in Sarajevo, filed a complaint with the Federal Police Administration against Amir Gross Kabiri, CEO of Mostar's Aluminij and Head of the Jewish Community in Mostar.

Andrle posted on X that he filed the complaint due to a threat allegedly made by Kabiri. Kabiri, who is the head of the Jewish community in Mostar, has been very vocal in supporting Israel since the October 7 massacre of Jews committed by Hamas. After the announcement of the complaint against Kabiri, Andrle immediately received significant support from the Bosniak side, as well as from Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karić. This is not surprising, considering that she refused to condemn crimes committed by Hamas against Jews on October 7 and has been spreading hatred towards Israel at various public gatherings by supporting Palestine. Additionally, banners supporting Palestine are still displayed on certain bridges and institutions in Sarajevo, and several rallies have been held where offensive messages against Jews and the state of Israel were conveyed. Due to this, Kabiri publicly criticized Karić, while, unlike him, Vladimir Andrle, along with members of the Jewish community in Sarajevo, was the first to support her. The relations between the two explain the attacks on Kabiri in recent days, which seem to represent a well-planned campaign aimed at the political gains Andrle dreams of. Vladimir Andrle has a long history of controversial actions, and many, unlike Karić, do not support his work. According to SRNA's sources, who wished to remain anonymous, now that Jakob Finci has aged, Andrle's political aspirations in Sarajevo are to lead the Jewish communities in BiH. Therefore, the background of his actions becomes clearer, and Andrle's recent moves could also confirm SRNA's sources' claims about his motives and ambitions. It is evident that he sees Kabiri as his only serious opponent for this position, and to gain points, he is choosing the tactic of tarnishing Kabiri's name. Some critics told SRNA that Vladimir Andrle, in his capacity as a "cultural figure," has never organized events with Serbs or Croats and serves only the Bosniak side. Regarding the support he has received from them in recent days, everything becomes clearer and more obvious. Following Kabiri's actions since October last year, it will be interesting to witness his reaction to the recent daily attacks against him. Like BiH, the Jewish community is also divided into three segments where disagreements and conflicts exist, and now, for the first time, these disagreements have come to light publicly. The three major Jewish communities in BiH are located in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar.
