TREBINJE, AUGUST 19 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said on Monday evening that Trebinje shows progress year after year for the benefit of all who live in the city. He also announced that in a month or two, the mass purchase of land for the construction of the airport is expected to begin.

Dodik, who is in Trebinje to attend the celebration of the city's patron saint day, emphasized that much more needs to be built in Trebinje, including a congress center and a bypass around the city. "The construction of the new hospital is also progressing well. It will be one of the most modern in the region, and its completion will mark the end of a century-long effort," Dodik told reporters in front of the Trebinje Cathedral, where he attended the festive evening service. Dodik emphasized that Trebinje is transforming from one "Transfiguration" to the next. "It's a beautiful, pleasant city full of people of good will. And if anyone wants to see progress, they should come to Trebinje and see how the urban environment is being developed," said Dodik. The President of Srpska expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the construction of the new hospital in Trebinje, as well as to Mayor Mirko Ćurić for his support of this and other projects in the city. On the occasion of today's feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the patron saint’s day of Trebinje, Dodik said that the Transfiguration is a moment when everyone personally needs to undergo a transformation, but also to observe how society itself will transform.
