RADOVAN KARADŽIĆ TAKEN TO HOSPITAL WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION

EAST SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ - The first Republika Srpska President Radovan Karadžić, who is serving a prison sentence under inhumane conditions in Great Britain, was taken to a hospital without any explanation and without the right to contact his family, his daughter Sonja Karadžić-Jovičević told SRNA, warning that they are creating an alibi in Britain and doing something extremely suspicious.

She emphasized that Karadžić was taken yesterday afternoon and was informed there that he would be kept in the hospital until further notice. "He was kept in a small room for more than seven hours. He was not allowed to eat, receive medication, or go to the toilet," emphasized Karadžić-Jovičević. She noted that during that time, four shifts of four guards had changed. "The doctor never came, but technicians came to draw blood," emphasized Karadžić-Jovičević, adding that he constantly insisted on being informed why he was in the hospital, what tests were being conducted, who decided that he would remain in the hospital until further notice and why, as well as on being allowed to contact his family. Karadžić was finally, she added, taken from the hospital shortly before midnight "with the statement that he refused treatment, that he would not receive the test results for review, and that this was considered his voluntary departure from the hospital as if he were a free man." "This is probably supposed to be an alibi because for three years he has received no medical assistance, diagnostics, or therapy. An alibi for the past three years and an alibi for future inaction. And treatment — of what?" asked Karadžić-Jovičević. She noted that he was taken to a cell where he soon realized that his phone card was blocked and that he could not contact anyone. "It is completely clear that it was planned for him not to return there," warned Karadžić-Jovičević. She has said that something extremely suspicious and dangerous is happening there. "This is how a person can disappear, without anyone knowing where, when, by whom, or why he was taken, under the most monstrous pretext that 'he had to be transferred to the hospital,' with no further information and completely unknown future fate. It is my duty to inform the public about this, as the relevant institutions have no access and they seem to have no will to address the open threat to even the most basic right to life. Just enough so that they cannot say later, `We didn't know,`" said Karadžić-Jovičević. The first President of Republika Srpska Radovan Karadžić has sued the British government for inhumane treatment, as recently reported by the British Daily Mail, noting that Karadžić is seeking £50,000 for human rights violations. He addressed the court via video link last week to sue British Justice Minister Shabana Mahmood. The newspaper reminded that Karadžić is held in Albany prison on the Isle of Wight, where he is serving a life sentence after being convicted by the Hague Tribunal. This is a prison that has a reputation as one of the worst correctional facilities in Great Britain and does not meet many of the conditions stipulated by standards in most European countries. On several occasions, Karadžić's daughter Sonja has pointed out the extremely difficult conditions in which her father is held and his serious health condition due to the lack of medical examinations and adequate treatment.
