KOJIĆ: CRIME AGAINST SERBS IN KRAVICA HAS ELEMENTS OF GENOCIDE
BRATUNAC, JANUARY 5 /SRNA/ - The crime against the Serb people in the village of Kravica in Bratunac on Christmas Day 1993 has elements of genocide, because the goal was to wipe this place and the Serbs off the face of the earth, the president of the Municipal Organization of Families of Prisoners and of Dead Soldiers and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica, Branimir Kojić, told SRNA.
"We ask the court and the Prosecutor's Office why no one was held accountable for this genocidal attack on Kravica and whether they know that the graves of all prominent Serbs who died just before Christmas were dug up on that day, and their bodies were further desecrated and left to animals to mutilate them," said Kojić. He stated that Muslim forces under the leadership of executioner Naser Orić attacked Kravica twenty days after the crime committed against Serbs in the village of Bjelovac. "Almost 3,000 Muslims headed towards the symbol of Serbia in these parts with only one goal, which is to wipe Kravica off the face of the earth and destroy the bastion of our collectivness. On Christmas Day 1993, 49 Serbs, mostly civilians, were killed at their tables celebrating the God," Kojić reminded. He stated that the executioners of Naser Orić killed 186 Serbs in the Serb villages of Bjelovac, Kravica and Skelani in a period of one month, which, he says, is not enough for the Court of Injustice of Bosnia and Herzegovina to bring the criminals to justice. "According to the testimony of Muslims, Kravica was burning 15 days after the bloody Christmas feast, it was looted and destroyed, and that shows what intentions the Muslims had here," Kojić said. He pointed out that everyone had the opportunity to watch the testimony of the late Fadila Mujić, who told how they looted Serb property and how they raided ancient Serb hearths. "And what can we say about the testimony of Vehid Dedić, who publicly boasted that as a member of the 'El Mujahid' unit, he stormed Kravica and that Kravica, as he said, was 'taken by heart' and that he was ready to kill everything that carried Serbian name, even if it weighed three kilograms," said Kojić. He stated that the fact that Dedić is still at large today is particularly painful, that he was even a high-ranking official in the Bratunac Municipality Assembly and is meeting with the American ambassador Michael Murphy, which is normal for the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. "We are also pained by the fact that a certain Suljo Čakanović, who we know participated in the attack on Kravica, is sitting in the Srebrenica parliament. He even took a photo next to Orić, who is triumphantly riding his horse after leaving 101 Serbian children without one or both of their parents." Kojić said. He emphasized that he will not give up the search for truth and justice. "No one has the right to put the Serbian victims aside, and judge every Serb. They will judge us for talking about our suffering, and they will sit with the executioners. We are aware that the judiciary in BiH is in the jaws of the American Embassy, and that has long been clear to everyone ", said Kojić. In the Podrinje village of Kravica today will be marked 32 years since the terrible crime against the Serb people committed by Muslim units on Christmas Day 1993. The memorial service will be held for 163 Serbs from this town and neighboring villages who died in the Defensive-Patriotic War, 49 of whom were killed by Muslim forces from Srebrenica on January 7, 1993.
