OUTGOING AMBASSADOR AGAIN DEMONSTRAITS POLITICIAL APPROACH

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 16 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, says the US ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy’s statements on alleged multi-ethnicity, are nothing more than an attempt to impose artificial narratives not based on reality and have been decades-long means of putting pressure on the Serb people and Srpska.

"The outgoing US Ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, once again demonstrated his one-sided, non-objective and political approach to the interpretation of reality in BiH. His statements about alleged multi-ethnicity are nothing more than an attempt to impose artificial narratives that are not based on reality and have been decades-long means of pressure on the Serb people and Republika Srpska," said Dodik. He noted that BiH is a country of two entities and three constitutive and equal peoples, not a country of ethnic groups, clarifying that Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks are peoples with a historical national foundation. "That's why BiH is a multi-national country, not a multi-ethnic one. Murphy's story about multi-ethnicity is a simple lie and a hoax, but also an insult. Reducing nations to the level of ethnic groups is a historical falsification and humiliation," Dodik posted on X. He added that Angela Merkel also spoke about a Europe of sovereign nations and states, confirming the demise of the concept of multi-ethnicity. "Fortunately, the time of Michael Murphy and others like him is passing. Murphy is already irrelevant and a symbol of past times, politics of imposition and hypocritical standards," says Dodik. According to him, a better time is coming for Republika Srpska - a time in which geopolitics will be based on reality, respect for national interests and historical rights, in which there is no place for Murphy. "Republika Srpska keeps developing on the foundations of family and Christian values, the same values on which the Western world was founded and strengthened. Fortunately, people like Murphy failed to destroy them," concluded Dodik.
