DODIK: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA ARMY IS HONORABLE AND HAD ITS HISTORICAL ROLE

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 17 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that the Army of Republika Srpska is an honorable army of the Serbian people and that it had its historical role.

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 17 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that the Army of Republika Srpska is an honorable army of the Serbian people and that it had its historical role.

"It made it so that the freedom of the Serbian people and the territory and state called Republika Srpska were defended. And as such, it is an integral part of our history, not only of our life, of our emotions. And it will always be like that," Dodik sxtressed. He emphasized that it was wonderful when the fans of the Basketball Club Red Star congratulated January 9, the Day of Republika Srpska, especially paying tribute to the Republika Srpska Army. Dodik said that Serbs from Republika Srpska value Serbia highly and perceive it as their own. "I am even ready to argue with many people that there is more love and emotion for Serbia among people in Republika Srpska on some issues than maybe in Serbia itself," Dodik told RT Balkan. He stated that some people in Serbia are even offended when he tells them that. Doidk stated that the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić has Serbia on his side, which is voting in legal elections, but that sometimes there are some problems on the street that show up. He said that people in Republika Srpska are not ready to fight with the same problems all over again. "We have to protect Republika Srpska. We live our life, it is integrated with Serbia in the national sense and increasingly in the state sense, in the sense, not what immediately causes rage in Sarajevo - the territory and so on, but the function we achieve, let's say education," Dodik stressed. He said that Serbia must be stable and that Republika Srpska must be stable. "And we are. Politically, Serbia today, regardless of these talks here about what is happening, is the most stable and powerful country in the Balkans. And more powerful than some countries of the European Union. This is shown by the economy and it shows some kind of ability," Dodik emphasized. He noted that the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić as far as personally concerning himself and his relationship with Republika Srpska, best positioned his relationship in the defense of Serbia and the Serbian people in these areas and returned it to the political and international scene.
