DODIK: ENABLE TREATMENT TO RADOVAN KARADŽIĆ ACCORDING TO GENEVA CONVENTION

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 4 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik pointed out that the first president of Republika Srpska Radovan Karadžić deserves medical treatment according to the Geneva Convention and this should be provided to him.

"From the moment of his deportation to Great Britain in 2021, Radovan Karadžić has been denied adequate medical care, and the conditions of serving his sentence are far from being in accordance with respect for human rights and the UN Resolution," Dodik posted on the X social network. According to him, this behavior of the British authorities is extremely irresponsible. "Karadžić deserves medical treatment according to the Geneva Convention and this should be made possible for him," Dodik stated. Radovan Karadžić was placed in Albany Prison on the Isle of Wight where, after being convicted at the Hague Tribunal, he is serving a life sentence. It is a prison that has a reputation as one of the worst prisons in Great Britain and does not meet the numerous conditions stipulated by the standards in most European countries.
