AMIDŽIĆ: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA MEETING PLACE OF ALL SERBS IN BiH

DRVAR, MARCH 3 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers, Srđan Amidžić, has said today in Drvar that Republika Srpska is the meeting place of all Serbs in BiH and it will keep providing institutional support to Serb returnee municipalities in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/.

Amidžić says the representatives of Serb returnee municipalities in the FBiH are fighting decisively for their rights guaranteed by the Constitution, first of all, in the fields of education and financing, and are even more focused on Republika Srpska, from which they expect support in this regard. "When you visit these municipalities, you can see the importance of Republika Srpska for each individual. How much more difficult it is for them to get the constitutionally guaranteed rights within the FBiH", Amidžić told the press after today's meeting with representatives of Serb returnee municipalities in the FBiH. He emphasized that this year’s Republika Srpska Budget provides BAM one million, as a permanent category, for each returnee municipality in FBiH, either through projects or liquidity support, which is an obligation that Srpska will keep implementing. Amidžić pointed out that during the meeting, he heard from the Serb representatives in the FBiH that they trust the compatriots in Republika Srpska who elected the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who speaks on behalf of the entire Serb people, but they do not believe in any unelected international. "They sent a clear message that they are ready to foster coexistence in BiH together with the president of Srpska, but if the president of Srpska is prevented from doing his job, they are not ready nor can they expect any support from an unelected international," Amidžić pointed out. He stated that the fact that the institution of Republika Srpska President and the President of Serbia significantly helped the Serb returnee municipalities in FBiH. "From now on, we will provide a million BAM for these municipalities annually because the OHR has never helped here, it cannot help because they did not come to help, but to dismantle, especially if we are talking about Drvar and this region, which suffered so much in the Second World War," says Amidžić. He pointed out that people here cannot be expected to trust an unelected foreigner, Christian Schmitt, who, while he was the state secretary in the German Ministry of Defence, visited places in Bavaria where the anniversaries of Third Reich soldiers, who were on the side of Nazi Germany, were commemorated. "Our message from this place is that all Serbs stay together and that all policies are unique for every singke Serb, both in Republika Srpska and for those in the FBiH. Concrete support will not be lacking," said Amidžić. He once again called on the Serbs living comfortably to come and see how their compatriots live in these returnee places in FBiH and how much more difficult it is for them to get their constitutionally guaranteed rights. The deputy in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, Goran Broćeta, says that the Serbs in the FBiH are fighting for their survival and rights guaranteed by the Constitution, but that they fully understand and support Republika Srpska’s struggle for the BiH Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement in its original form. Drvar Municipality Mayor, Dušica Runić, thanked the Republika Srpska institutions for their constant support, stressing that these municipalities rely on Spska in all aspects. Runić has stated that the funds intended for the returnee municipalities will be used for the current deficit, since the FBiH Government decree increased allocations for salaries, so the part will be used to finance the basic needs of the Kindergarten and Radio Station Drvar, as well as for increasing scholarships, support for the first-born and all children in Drvar, and the consolidation of public enterprises. Glamoč Mayor, Nebojša Radivojša, emphasized that the Serbs in FBiH give full support to the institutions of Republika Srpska, especially in the context of Christian Schmidt’s attack. Bosanski Petrovac Municipal Council Chairman, Nemanja Davidović, pointed out that the Serb people in FBiH are worried about the political persecution of Republika Srpska President, Milorad Dodik, fully supporting him in his efforts to protect the Constitution of Srpska, but also the Constitution of BiH. "We are following this political process carefully and fully supporting the president of Republika Srpska in protecting the Srpska Constitution, but also the BiH Constitution and the Dayton principles," said Davidović.
