SERBIA IS THE HOST OF EUROPEAN WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP

NION, MARCH 31 /SRNA/ - Serbia will host the European Water Polo Championship next year, it was announced on the website of the European Swimming Federation.

The European Swimming Federation announced that the European Championships will be held in two locations from January 10 to 25, the men's tournament in Belgrade, while the location for the women will be announced soon. 16 teams will participate in both competitions and will fight for the title of European champions. The championship will be played in a new competition format. Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Spain, Italy, Greece, Hungary and Romania have qualified for the 2026 European Championship for water polo players, while the remaining eight participant selections will be announced after the qualifications. Water polo matches in Belgrade will be played in the Belgrade Arena.
