DODIK: SERBS’ SACRIFICE MUST NOT BE IN VAIN

DERVENTA, APRIL 14 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik says that 34,000 Serbs’ sacrifices during the past Defensice-Patriotic War must not be in vain.

Dodik has stressed that the Serb people understand this well and that they want a state, a democratically elected government and officials with a full office, and that there is no freedom without Republika Srpska. "This people have never given up on Republika Srpska. I will never give up on it. As Serbs, we could not exist without Republika Srpska," Dodik stressed in a conversation with residents at the Cultural Centre Derventa. Dodik has stressed that Republika Srpska is in good standing institutionally, but that, when it comes to the economy, it lacks 25,000 workers. He stated that 289,000 employees service 270,000 pensioners, that pensions increase every year and that few countries can do that. "We have a stable fund. Last year we had an increase in payments," Dodik said. He pointed out that Europe was not honest with Republika Srpska and that now it wants to return migrants we did not accept at the time they were passing through, who we do not want to accept now. "These are delinquents. They want to oblige us to accept 20,000 migrants. When you hear that there is a problem with the Germans, that is what is at stake. If migrants were to settle here, they would be given political rights," Dodik said. He says that BiH has not found its feet in it, which is why there is a huge number of internatonals and interventionism, who have tried to do all sorts of things in such circumstances. "They did everything to block our finances, to make us unsuccessful and have no money for pensions and salaries. They said we had failed. Of course we showed the ability to defend ourselves. We managed to defend ourselves with our friends," said Dodik. He pointed out that Srpska had a GDP growth of two billion, that it is the country with the smallest budget deficit. "Republika Srpska is not in debt, not even the opposition is talking about it. Our debt is the lowest in the region," Dodik emphasized.
