MITROVIĆ: PROPOSAL FOR NEW CONSTITUTION IN PARLIAMENT BY END OF APRIL

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 15 /SRNA/ - Member of the Working Group for the Drafting of the New Constitution of Republika Srpska Ljubinko Mitrović said that the proposal for the Constitution of Srpska should be submitted to the National Assembly by the end of April.

"The last public debate on the Draft Constitution of Srpska will be held on Thursday, April 17, in Banja Luka," Mitrović told reporters in Banja Luka before the start of the expert discussion on the Draft Constitution of Republika Srpska, organized by the Organization of the RSA Commanding Officers. He says that the Working Group will hold meetings after the Easter holidays to analyze all comments, and then submit them to the Constitutional Committee, which, according to the procedure, will forward them to the Parliament of Republika Srpska. Mitrović says it is a great honor for him to be a member of the Working Group for drafting the new Constitution of Srpska, as such an opportunity comes once in a career, if at all. "I am confident that the new constitution will be a modern, European document with clearly defined norms and precision," Mitrović emphasized. The expert discussion, taking place at the Republika Srpska National Assembly, is attended by representatives of organizations that came into being after the Patriotic-Defense War. On March 13, the Republika Srpska National Assembly decided to establish the Draft Constitution of Republika Srpska.
