ŠERANIĆ: OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE HOSPITAL IN TREBINJE THE BEST REGIONAL FACILITY

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 25 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska, Alen Šeranić, told SRNA that the project of constructing a new hospital in Trebinje should be completed by the end of October, and added that the goal is for this healthcare facility to be positioned as the best in the region.
Šeranić said that he expects healthcare services to be provided in the new hospital in Trebinje starting next year, which, as he noted, will be of regional importance. "Trebinje is becoming a very attractive destination for many citizens, and for that reason, there is a need for such a facility. It is also important that the tourism community surrounding Trebinje, Dubrovnik, and Herceg Novi has access to this kind of healthcare institution. Our goal is to position this healthcare facility as the best within the region," said Šeranić in SRNA’s podcast. He also mentioned the significance of the project for the reconstruction and expansion of the hospital in Prijedor, adding that such projects are much more demanding because it is necessary to ensure that healthcare services continue while the facility is being reconstructed and adapted. "We have held a number of discussions with the hospital in Prijedor, and they are preparing such a work plan," said Šeranić. He pointed out that the vaccination rate in Republika Srpska is not satisfactory and that it should ideally be at least 95% in order to create community immunity. "The worst data is in the area of vaccination against measles, which is a vaccine that has been unjustly condemned at times. This vaccine is sometimes associated with certain disorders from the autism spectrum, but scientific studies have proven that there is no causal link between the two," Šeranić explained. The new episode of SRNA's podcast, featuring the historian and Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska, Alen Šeranić, will be available to users of our service on the "YouTube" channel and social media tomorrow at 10:00 AM.
