UKRAINIAN VIACHESLAV BIELINSKY IS THE TOURNAMENT WINNER

PRIJEDOR, MAY 18 /SRNA/ - Ukrainian tennis player Viacheslav Bielinskyi won the 51st Memorial "Dr. Mladen Stojanović," also known as the 18th ITF tournament "Prijedor Open 2025," after defeating Belgian Jack Loge 2-0 /7:6, 6:2/ in the final match.
"I am very satisfied with the tournament, its organization, and especially the victory. I will return next year, and next I’ll be playing the tournament in Brčko," said Bielinskyi, the top seed of this tournament, who earned 15 ATP points with this win. Belgian Jack Loge said this was his first time in Prijedor, that he enjoyed it, and that he was satisfied with his performance in the final. Tournament director Goran Nović expressed satisfaction with the large attendance at the final match and the quality of the matches throughout the tournament. “Many of them came on the recommendation of their predecessors, and that is the most important motivation driving us to improve every year, to attract more young competitors, and to become recognized not only as a sporting event in Prijedor but also in the region,” said Nović. Acting Head of the City Department for Culture, International Cooperation, Sports, and NGOs, Aleksandar Milješić, says that the tournament met all expectations and upheld the reputation of one of the most significant events in Prijedor. He emphasized that the city is a proud general sponsor because this is not just an ordinary tournament. “This is a place where tradition is preserved, and this tournament is dedicated to our great doctor from Kozara, but it is also an opportunity for players from around the world to come and see our city, earn their first ATP points, and compete fairly, sportingly, and respectfully on our courts,” said Milješić. This year, the tournament brought together over 80 tennis players from 25 countries, from Japan and India to Morocco and America, all the way to countries in Africa and Europe.
