26 YEARS AGO, NATO BOMBED DR DRAGIŠA MIŠOVIĆ HOSPITAL

BIJELJINA, MAY 19 /SRNA/ – On May 20, 1999, four patients were killed in the Dr Dragiša Mišović Hospital in Belgrade during a NATO airstrike, along with seven guardsmen who were securing the facility during a state of war.
Two NATO missiles destroyed the hospital's neurology ward, pediatric pulmonary ward, and gynecology department, as well as the operating rooms for neurology, gynecology, and surgery. NATO launched the aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia without the approval of the UN Security Council, citing accusations that Serbian security forces were allegedly committing ethnic cleansing against Kosovo Albanians. The immediate pretext for the action was the alleged massacre of Albanians in Račak and the refusal of the Yugoslav delegation to sign the Rambouillet Agreement. It was later proven before the Hague Tribunal that the alleged massacre in Račak was a fabrication orchestrated by the terrorist KLA and U.S. intelligence services.
