DODIK: OSCE PERMANENTLY DELEGITIMIZED ITSELF

BANJA LUKA, MAY 21 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said on Wednesday evening that the OSCE has permanently delegitimized itself by failing to respond to the fact that the illegal /High Representative/ Christian Schmidt is violating all the principles on which that organization is based, and that what they say no longer matters.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the OSCE, stop insulting our intelligence," Dodik wrote on X, responding to the OSCE’s call for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to reconsider the adoption of the Law on the Financing of Political Organizations. Dodik asked why the OSCE failed to react when Schmidt, who is a nobody in BiH, banned the financing of two political parties, and asked whether the OSCE considers that to be the embodiment of democracy and equal treatment of political parties. “You remain silent while an illegal individual violates every principle on which the OSCE is founded, yet you lecture us. With this, you have permanently delegitimized yourselves, and what you say no longer matters. That's why it’s better for you to stay silent,” Dodik said. The National Assembly of Republika Srpska today adopted, under urgent procedure, the Law on the Financing of Political Organizations, which stipulates, among other things, that these organizations may be financed through membership fees, voluntary contributions from legal and natural persons, and publishing activities. Earlier, Schmidt had decided to suspend budget financing for the SNSD and United Srpska parties.
