SAVIĆ: SRPSKA WANTS DIALOGUE WITH EVERYONE, BOSNIAKS - ONLY SIDE REJECTING AGREEMENT

BIJELJINA, MAY 27 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska wants equal and constructive dialogue with all parties, while the Bosniaks are the only side rejecting any agreement, said Bojan Savić, Chair of the SNSD Bijeljina City Committee.
“For us, it is important that the Serbian people’s views are heard in both the U.S. and Russia and in all places, despite the pressures we have been facing over the years due to the deceit of the Bosniak side, encouraged by those who wanted to govern BiH like their own colony,” Savić told SRNA. He has noted that the president of Republika Srpska is currently in friendly Russia, attending important meetings that reaffirm the friendly and proven ties between the Serb and Russian peoples, while the Serb BiH Presidency member, Željka Cvijanović, had the opportunity in the U.S. to talk with American officials and other friends of BiH and its constituent peoples about the importance of American support for dialogue and local solutions in BiH as a guarantee of lasting peace and stability. “During President Biden’s term, Republika Srpska's leadership was persecuted, blackmailed, and threatened in every possible way to accept a new framework for BiH that would nullify the rights guaranteed to us by the Dayton Peace Agreement. As a result, BiH has found itself in its worst crisis since its creation. The way out is through dialogue and agreement among the legitimate representatives of Serbs, Bosniaks, and Croats elected through democratic processes and deriving their legitimacy from election results, not from the backing of some unappointed foreigner,” emphasized Savić. He has stated that Republika Srpska is only asking for respect of the Dayton Paece Agreement and the rights of the two entities and three constituent peoples, and that all decisions at the state level should be made through democratic processes by legitimate institutions and representatives with a term, not imposed by those who know nothing about BiH or harbor hidden animosity that disqualifies them from the outset. This has been evident through biased actions that favour Bosniaks or Croats, but never Serbs. “Neither Germans nor Austrians, nor fake or real High Representatives can decide for us. Only Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks can decide the fate of BiH today, which is the message we’ve heard clearly from American officials as well,” said Savić. He has added that the messages coming from Bosniak representatives, especially BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović, are alarming and harmful. Bećirović has been holding that position long enough to understand how the Presidency functions and what its responsibilities are. “Every time Bećirović speaks, the whole world sees how divided BiH is. He acts against the Serbs, against Republika Srpska, and denies the Dayton character of BiH, even though he should be working to strengthen the country he claims to serve,” Savić said. “Bećirović's contradictions, as well as the positions of other Bosniak representatives, show that the Bosniaks don’t really know what they want from BiH as it’s clear that their theory of unitary state has been rejected, but they do not want Republika Srpska eitjer, which is the root of all problems in the country. “If BiH were a normal state and the Bosniaks truly wanted us to succeed as a community, Bećirović wouldn’t be trying to boast about meetings and appearances. “He wouldn’t be talking about himself or his party’s policy but about BiH - about the opportunities the Dayton gave to Serbs, Bosniaks, Croats, and to BiH as a whole, to succeed and be an important partner to both East and West with all its specific features,” Savić stressed. He emphasized that the Bosniaks must understand that the Serbs want progress for all, to build a BiH that is functional and acceptable, where we support each other and don’t act as obstacles or roadblocks. “The Serbs want the Sarajevo - Belgrade motorway. We want every development project, we want the Bosniaks to stop blocking everything, and for us to live normal lives. That’s only possible if the Dayton is respected and if there is agreement. Right now, the only side in BiH rejecting agreement is the Bosniak one,” Savić concluded.
