VIŠKOVIĆ: GATHERING IN SARAJEVO CONFIRMS THAT A GROUP OF PEOPLE WANTS TO FORCIBLY ESTABLISH A NEW ORDER

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 3 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković emphasized that today's gathering in Sarajevo, under the guise of the unconstitutional Peace Implementation Council, officially confirms that the Constitution of BiH is not in force in the Federation, that BiH has been stripped of its powers, and that a group of people is seeking to forcibly impose a new order.
"The Sarajevo assembly of the opposition from Srpska and Christian Schmidt, under the veil of the unconstitutional and non-existent category of the Peace Implementation Council, has laid bare and clearly exposed the true face of the opposition and the ultimate intentions of the German tourist," Višković stated. He emphasized that Republika Srpska is fighting on two fronts – internal and external – which, as he said, is a fight for the Dayton Constitution and the rule of law, which exists only in Srpska and nowhere else in BiH, according to a statement from the Government’s Public Relations Bureau. "It is disheartening that the opposition of Republika Srpska has not given up the policies that the people have rejected in elections for over twenty years, but instead has given up on elections themselves – and on Republika Srpska. Nevertheless, they remain fixated on gaining power by any means other than elections – even if it is over an empty and stripped-down Republika Srpska," Višković said in a written statement. He pointed out that this represents an ideal match between the opportunities the opposition has and the intentions Schmidt seeks to implement. "Likewise, after everything that has happened, it is particularly important to emphasize the seriousness of the situation, which requires continued strong institutional and societal response from Republika Srpska, which must represent a clear defensive line," Višković stressed. Following all the opposition’s actions, Višković said, it is evident that the upcoming elections will be their biggest challenge. "Those elections will undoubtedly be the target of obstruction attempts, with the help of parts of the international community – which is already obvious. The future and what it will look like are uncertain, but what is certain is that Republika Srpska remains strong, democratic, and a place where the will of the people is respected," Višković concluded.
