KOŠARAC: CANCELLING EUROPEAN RABBI CONFERENCE EXPOSES ALL LIES ABOUT "EUROPEAN" SARAJEVO

EAST SARAJEVO, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ - Cancelling the European Rabbis Conference in Sarajevo has exposed all the lies about the "open, multicultural, and European Sarajevo," Staša Košarac, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, told SRNA.

Košarac emphasized that this is not an isolated incident - it reflects the same spirit that daily shows contempt for Republika Srpska, its people, culture, and rights. "Christian Schmidt, a self-proclaimed tourist and illegal clerk, was personally involved in organizing this event. He was so busy with his hatred towards Republika Srpska and signing fraudulent documents against it that he didn't even notice where he was. The result? He received an open call from a Jewish organization urging that BiH should not be admitted to the EU due to anti-Semitism. That's the outcome of his `wise diplomacy,`" Košarac emphasized. He added that Sarajevo's current attitude towards Jews is the same as the attitude it has long held towards Serbs — intolerance disguised in phrases about a civic state. "Sarajevo can organize a film festival every year and pretend to be a European metropolis, but this case reveals its true face: it is the center of Bosniak nationalism and religious exclusivism. And now the whole world sees it," Košarac emphasized. He pointed out that BiH was not rejected because of Republika Srpska, but because of Sarajevo, which cannot tolerate anyone who doesn't fit their mold.
