ŠULIĆ: ĆUDIĆ EXERCISES POLITICAL FRUSTRATION AND IMPOTENCE

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 12 /SRNA/ - Denis Šulić, a member of the SNSD Main Committee, told SRNA that MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sabina Ćudić merely demonstrated political frustration and weakness by making inappropriate and offensive remarks about the Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović - whose work, approach, and results are respected even by those who do not share her political views.

"In about twenty minutes of her appearance, Ćudić expressed such a level of bitterness and hatred, proving that this so-called `civil and cultural option` which she claims she belongs to is in fact a large group of frustrations and contempt toward those better and more successful than themselves," said Šulić, who is also the Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska. He adds that Ćudić is likely bothered by the fact that Cvijanović is respected in international diplomatic circles, establishes contacts, and clearly and firmly presents the positions of Republika Srpska, countering the lies that Ćudić and her colleagues attempt to spread internationally. "Cvijanović, first and foremost, has a political career that Ćudić probably dreams of, and from all the political positions she has held, she has done excellent work building connections and cooperation between Republika Srpska and countries and organisations around the world," Šulić said. He also notes that Ćudić tries to blame everything wrong in BiH on the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska in general - which once again shows her inability to fight based on arguments and programmes against those whom the citizens actually trust. "By making such vile insults toward Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović, Ćudić is likely trying to score some political points, get media attention, and gain popularity as the elections are approaching and the desire for another term is growing," said Šulić. He has added that the public sphere is already overly poisoned by such rhetoric and that citizens don't need headlines full of insults, but developmental projects and progress - regardless of which entity they live in. "Still, I have personally witnessed that in the political arena of the Federation of BiH there are people who think entirely differently - admittedly a small number - but with whom dialogue and cooperation are possible. I am confident that their role and strength will grow in the coming period, and they will be the ones to `sweep away` Sabina Ćudić and those like her from the political arean," Šulić concluded.
