MESSAGE TO SCHMIDT: DON'T EMBARK ON NEW VENTURES

BANJA LUKA, JULY 11 /SRNA/ - The Dean of the Faculty of Security and Protection in Banja Luka, Slobodan Župljanin, sent a message to Christian Schmidt, urging him not to embark on new ventures involving the imposition of decisions, as such actions only further undermine the already fragile stability and agreement on potential coexistence and continued development of BiH under conditions of peace and stability.

Commenting on reports that Schmidt may impose the BiH budget next week, as well as allocate funds for technology intended for use in the elections, Župljanin said that Schmidt had already engaged in numerous ventures that brought no benefit to BiH, and the same would apply to any new such attempt. He believes that dialogue among domestic political actors in BiH is possible, but stresses that the promotion of individual party policies should not take precedence. "Messages and invitations from Republika Srpska consistently express that a BiH defined by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the BiH Constitution is acceptable to Srpska. So, what is the issue? Everyone refers to the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution in their statements, yet narrow group and individual political interests continue to outweigh the common interest of all people in BiH," Župljanin said.
