VULIĆ: SECOND-INSTANCE VERDICT IS AN ATTACK ON SERB PEOPLE'S WILL AND UNDERMINES THE DAYTON AGREEMENT

SARAJEVO, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ - Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić told SRNA that the confirmation of the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik represents an attack on the will of the Serb people and a continuation of the dismantling of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH.

Vulić emphasized that it is now more than obvious that the judiciary in BiH is being manipulated by political centers of power. "The influence of Bosniak political circles, including those close to Elmedin Konaković, is behind all of this," said Vulić, adding that the verdict demonstrates how the judiciary in BiH is not immune to political pressure. She assessed that this further erodes public trust in the institutions. "Even though there is no concrete evidence that Konaković directly controls court proceedings, accusations of political influence remain a topic of debate among both the public and political analysts. Remember, Serbs fear no one. This did not defeat us — it emboldened us. We will fight for Srpska and for our right to choose, and our choice is Milorad Dodik!" Vulić said. The Appeals Chamber of the Court of BiH upheld the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to one year in prison and banning him from political activity for six years for "failing to comply" with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
