TUBIĆ: VERDICT AGAINST PRESIDENT OF SRPSKA VIOLATES CONSTITUTIONAL ORDER

DOBOJ, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ - The Veterans' Organization of the City of Doboj strongly condemns the confirmation of the BiH Court’s verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, which violates the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional order of BiH.
The president of the Assembly of the Doboj City Veterans' Organization Petar Tubić stated that, for this organization, the verdict represents open political pressure on the legally elected representative of the Serb people and a blatant infringement on the autonomy of Republika Srpska. "We consider the verdict a direct attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional order of BiH," Tubić told SRNA. He stated that Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik did nothing other than consistently defend the interests of the people who elected him, while respecting the Republika Srpska Constitution and the will of the citizens. Tubić emphasized that the trial, conducted under strong political and international influence, deeply compromises the judiciary of BiH and further destabilizes an already fragile political situation. "As fighters who created Republika Srpska, we declare that we will not stand idly by while attempts are made to humiliate our legitimate representatives and dismantle the institutions we defended with our blood," Tubić said. He called on all patriotic forces, associations, and citizens to remain united, calm, but determined in defending Republika Srpska and the democratically expressed will of the Serb people. Tubić emphasized that Republika Srpska is a permanent category and a sacred entity, and that no one has the right to challenge it, least of all those who use the judiciary as a political weapon. The Appeals Chamber of the BiH Court has upheld the first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Dodik's lawyer Goran Bubić told SRNA. Dodik was initially sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity for failing to comply with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
