LEGAL TEAM OF THE PRESIDENT OF SRPSKA CONTINUES THE FIGHT BY LEGAL MEANS

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ - Lawyer of the President of Republika Srpska, Goran Bubić, stated that the legal team will continue the fight using all available legal means following the second-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.

"We will request a temporary measure to suspend the execution of the verdict until the Constitutional Court makes a decision. This is a prerequisite for us to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights," Bubić said at a press conference at the Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka. Bubić reiterated that he was informed by phone about the outcome of the trial and that the appeals of the parties involved were rejected. The Appeals Chamber of the BiH Court has upheld the first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Bubić told SRNA. Dodik was initially sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity for failing to comply with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
