PRISON SENTENCE FOR PRESIDENT OF SRPSKA REPLACED WITH FINE

SARAJEVO, AUGUST 12 /SRNA/ – The Court of BiH has accepted the request of the defense of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik to replace the imposed prison sentence with a fine.

"The imposed prison sentence has been replaced with a fine," the Court of BiH has announced today. This decision was made by the Court of BiH after ruling on the defense’s request, in accordance with legal regulations and following the statement of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office. The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH confirmed the first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity for non-compliance with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
