SRPSKA CONFIRMED IT HAS DEMOCRATIC CAPACITY TO RESIST

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – Professor of geopolitics Dragan Kolev told SRNA that the election of the new Government of Republika Srpska is further proof that, regardless of all political problems and attacks it is exposed to, Srpska has the adequate democratic capacity to resist and to form its own institutions.
Kolev emphasized that the opposition in Republika Srpska demonstrated throughout the entire process of electing the Government not only that it is inadequate, but also that it is incapable of making any decisions independently, instead acting solely on instructions received from abroad. He pointed out that one of the tasks of the newly elected Government of Republika Srpska, and of each minister individually, is to prepare the citizens of Republika Srpska for the upcoming referendum, which should demonstrate that, despite political divisions, the people are united around the idea of preserving Republika Srpska. "The referendum is one of the most democratic ways for a people to express its will. If this is the basic democratic principle, then we have the opportunity to show it to Europe and to all those who are illegal in BiH," Kolev stressed. Kolev believes that after the October 25 referendum, another one on self-determination will follow, and that Republika Srpska will receive the support of Russia. "Certain cards involving very vital interests are not revealed publicly. The continuity I see is that Russia maintains a principled position toward the Balkans and the Serbian factor in the region, and in that context it should be expected that Russia will clearly and loudly state its stance on the matter," Kolev believes. He noted that the period Republika Srpska is currently going through is one of the most difficult in its history, but that strong institutions and united people make Srpska unshakable.
