DODIK'S MEETING WITH LAVROV - SRPSKA'S GREAT INTERNATIONAL VICTORY

SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA/ - The conversation between the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in Moscow represents a great international victory for Srpska, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac stated.

Košarac emphasized that during today's meeting, Dodik credibly conveyed to Lavrov the facts about the situation in BiH based on the political occupation of the so-called high representative Christian Schmidt and the actions of certain structures in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/. He stated that Dodik, at the press conference with Lavrov, publicly announced that Republika Srpska never questioned peace, stability and dialogue but repeatedly offered talks with the aim of returning to the original Dayton Agreement. Košarac says Dodik reminded that Republika Srpska is a subject of international law that has been verified, as well as the fact that the guarantors of the Dayton Agreement are, among others, Russia, the USA and the EU. "One of the signatories of the Dayton Agreement is Republika Srpska, and therefore it is completely politically responsible to discuss the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement with a country that is a signatory to that document, given that the Dayton architecture has been damaged by the imposed illegal decisions of a false high representative and the actions of unconstitutional institutions on the order of Schmidt, and finally the verification of the European Commission that this is normal," Košarac pointed out. Stating that a solution to this situation is being sought, Košarac assessed that the solution lies in dialogue and sovereignty in BiH itself, and not in the submission to the occupying power. According to him, the Sarajevo "Troika" accepted that the illegal Schmidt imposes decisions. "As far as I understood from the press conference, Minister Lavrov said that he is in favor of the consistent implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and constitutional solutions," emphasized Košarac. Commenting on the negative comments in FBiH regarding Dodik's visit to Russia, he asked officials from FBiH what Sarajevo uses for heating? "It's a Russian gas. Why don't they say, `We don't want the Russian gas`. And, let me ask when you will pay the gas debt to Russia, whether the Russian Federation has initiated something in this regard or is looking for an agreement?" Košarac pointed out and announced that it will all be the topic during the of discussion at the end of the month in Sochi, where he will head the Commission for Trade Relations between BiH and Russia. He asked why the issue of a serious blockade in the BiH Presidency is not raised when it comes to the eastern interconnection? "People are ready to give everyone in BiH a new gas pipeline, but no, someone won't like it - some European officials," said Košarac and called everyone to an agreement.
