ĆUMUROVIĆ: CHARLES KIRK WAS KILLED BECAUSE HE STOOD FOR CHRISTIAN VALUES
BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 15 /SRNA/ – Political scientist Mario Ćumurović has stated this evening in Banja Luka that Charlie Kirk died solely because he stood up for traditional Christian values and defended the truth.
Ćumurović told reporters in front of the Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka, where citizens gathered this evening to light candles in Kirk’s honor, that this American activist will be forever remembered in history as a witness to free thought and truth. "We have gathered to pay our respects to a man who was killed because of the truth. I hope Kirk will serve as motivation for young people to fight for the values they believe in," Ćumurović said. He emphasized that it is important to send a message that people like this will be forever remembered for the values they stood for. Political scientist Vojislav Savić said that he came, first and foremost, as a human being, because he believes that no one should be killed for their opinions and words. He reminded that Kirk was born in 1993, when NATO bombs were headed toward Republika Srpska and Serbia, and that the same media supported violence back then and are doing the same now. "The same media that demonized us are the ones who normalized the violence against Kirk, which led to the tragedy," Savić said. He expressed hope that this does not mean Serbs should lack empathy for others, stating that they will remain committed to protecting true values and that there can be no compromise on that. Citizens in front of the Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka lit candles for the slain American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, one of the key allies of U.S. President Donald Trump.
