VULIĆ: KONAKOVIĆ HAS OPENED HUNT ON SERBS IN JOINT INSTITUTIONS

SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – The initiation of disciplinary proceedings against the advisor in the BiH Mission to the EU in Brussels Olivera Nikolić for celebrating Republic Day – January 9, is a signal that the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković has officially opened a 'hunt on Serbs' in the joint institutions, which cannot be accepted, said the head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament Sanja Vulić.

"We will not accept this, and the public will have to hear about it. That is why we are calling on all those who care about justice, dignity, and freedom to follow this case and publicly stand in defense of truth and rights," Vulić said. Vulić emphasized that Konaković is carrying out a brutal persecution of Serb staff in BiH institutions and, in his helplessness, complexes, and envy, since he has nothing to celebrate, is trying to forbid Serbs from marking, even in their free time, dates that have historical and national significance for them. "Who cares what people do outside of work? Will we tomorrow have to ask Konaković for permission about who we will sleep with, what we will eat, or what we will think?" Vulić asked. According to her, this is not law, not justice, not civilization, but a continuation of torture and systematic persecution of Serbs. "The goal is clear – to humiliate, frighten, and drive out all those who dare to take pride in their identity," Vulić stressed. She pointed out that the process against Nikolić is fabricated and serves only as a signal that the 'hunt on Serbs' in the institutions has officially been opened. The advisor in the BiH Mission to the EU in Brussels in the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Olivera Nikolić, is being accused, although she was not present, of attending the celebration of January 9 this year. The BiH Prosecutor’s Office has launched investigative actions against Nikolić, and today the disciplinary proceedings before the Disciplinary Commission of the BiH Civil Service Agency continue. Nikolić did not attend Republic Day, but due to a photograph dated January 9, 2024, which she published on January 8 this year, disciplinary proceedings were initiated.
