MONSTROUS THREATS AIM TO FORCE SERBS OUT OF FBiH
SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA/ – SNSD MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Milorad Kojić said that the latest monstrous threats against Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/, sent from Tuzla prison by Dževad Hasić, represent a continuation of pressure on returning Serbs aimed at forcing them to leave the Federation of BiH /FBiH/.
"Regardless of who sends such messages or the nature of the individual involved, they must be considered monstrous, especially as they target the SOC and call for violent conversion to Islam," Kojić stressed in a statement to SRNA. According to him, these messages are intended to intimidate the small number of returning Serbs, who are already marginalized in the FBiH. "The message from this individual, who has a criminal record, reflects broader messages being sent to Bosniaks in the FBiH that they should hate Serbs," Kojić said. Noting that this is only one in a series of recent threats against Serbs in the FBiH, Kojić said that such acts, along with the destruction of Orthodox cemeteries and attacks on returnees and their property, are intended to pressure Serbs to leave the territory of the FBiH. "These words, spreading national, ethnic, and religious hatred—especially as they are directed directly at the SOC—must be sanctioned by the competent judicial authorities," Kojić emphasized. He expressed doubt, however, noting that reactions to similar threats or attacks on Serbs and their property have been absent from judicial bodies both in the FBiH and at the BiH state level. From Tuzla prison, Dževad Hasić sent a threatening letter to Serbs and the SOC, stating that they are not welcome in the city, and threatening that the Orthodox priest would be converted to Islam while the cross would be replaced with the crescent and star.
