IGOR DODIK: OPPOSITION AND BOSNIAC POLITICIANS HAVE SURRENDERED TO SCHMIDT; SRPSKA WILL NOT

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ – Following the SDA’s press release, in which they openly called on Christian Schmidt to impose special election rules for Srebrenica, it has become even clearer that the coalition of Schmidt–the opposition "Troika" from Republika Srpska–Bosniac politicians is acting as a united front against Republika Srpska, Igor Dodik, SNSD Organisational Secretary, told SRNA.

Dodik states that everything they cannot achieve through elections, they are trying to force through the help of an illegal foreigner and by abusing institutions. "The SNSD emphasizes that our people have already recognised these intents and that, despite the pressure and open hostility toward Serb interests, they will win in the November 23 elections, because Milorad Dodik’s ideas, which they attempted to suppress through fabricated trials and violence, represent the will of the Serb people and their determination to protect Republika Srpska," emphasized SNSD organizational secretary. This time, Dodik added, a broader plan is clearly visible: the actions of the coalition Schmidt–opposition "Troika" from Republika Srpska–Bosniac politicians. "Their goal is the same – to forcibly, through a colonial administrator, extinguish the ideas of Milorad Dodik, the SNSD, and the Serb people. However, those very ideas, which they tried to supress through staged trials, false judgments, and political violence, are now stronger than ever," Dodik stated. He emphasized that in the upcoming November 23election, the people will once again clearly affirm that the future of Srpska depends neither on Schmidt, nor on Sarajevo, nor on the obedient opposition, but on the will of the people. "The SNSD presidential candidate in Republika Srpska will win, because behind him stands precisely that will of the people. It is a will that has not been broken even under the harshest pressure – a will that has made SNSD not only the strongest party but also the pillar of political stability in Republika Srpska," said Dodik. He stated that the SNSD is sending a message to the SDA and its partners that any attempt to deprive Srpska of the right to make its own decisions is doomed to fail. "Republika Srpska was born in freedom, defended in unity, and in the elections will once again prove that the people are the only and highest authority," Dodik concluded.
