SELAK: KARAN - MAN OF INTEGRITY AND THE BEST CANDIDATE
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ – Socialist Party of Srpska President Goran Selak has stated that the ruling coalition is entering the early presidential elections in Republika Srpska with the best candidate – Siniša Karan, a man of great integrity who has always served Republika Srpska.
At a press conference following the meeting of coalition leaders, Selak emphasized that Karan is a man of extensive experience. "Siniša Karan has held many responsible positions in the security services, served as the Secretary General to the President of Srpska, the Government, and as a minister," Selak said, noting that Karan received unanimous support from the coalition. Selak called on all patriotic forces and associations to say stop to legal violence against Republika Srpska, which he described as the most important. He said that Republika Srpska did not request these elections, and that malicious individuals have committed legal violence against the institutions of Srpska and its president. "We must defend the institution of the President of Republika Srpska from the attack. We have seen announcements from the Central Election Commission, from the Federation of BiH, and from parts of the international community, whose intent was to choose a president for us. We stood up in defense of the institution of the president and said that for us, November 23 is a referendum — and that we are entering the elections with the best candidate," Selak stated. Speaking about the referendum, Selak said it would be an opportunity to say "no" to legal violence and to send a message that no individual or foreign national should be allowed to change the Criminal Code through their decisions.
