GOLUBOVIĆ: COOPERATION WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BECOME MORE FRUITFUL
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ – A concert by the choir of the Sretensky Monastery was held today at the Church of Christ the Savior in Banja Luka as part of the “Days of Russian Spiritual Culture in Republika Srpska,” attended by the Minister of Education and Culture, Borivoje Golubović, and Russian Ambassador Igor Kalabukhov.
Golubović stated that his ministry will work to ensure that cultural cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation becomes more fruitful. “Cooperation between the Russian Federation and Republika Srpska is constant, and in the coming days Banja Luka and Republika Srpska will have the opportunity to attend presentations of Russian cultural heritage,” Golubović told journalists in Banja Luka. Kalabukhov emphasized that the magnificent event at the Church of Christ the Savior is a manifestation of friendship between Russia and Republika Srpska. “This is a major event because the Sretensky Monastery choir has a centuries-old history, and the beauty and strength of their voices speak to our friendship, as was recently demonstrated at the ceremony in the Russian-Serbian church,” Kalabukhov said. Advisor to the President of Republika Srpska, Marko Romić, said that thanks to the bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and Republika Srpska, and primarily to the personal relationship between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Milorad Dodik over the years, mutual cooperation has been multi-layered. “This is just one level of cooperation between Srpska and Russia, as it is a particular spiritual joy to have the Sretensky Monastery choir performing in Banja Luka. It demonstrates the deep and most important link between the Russian and Serbian peoples, which is our holy Orthodox faith,” Romić emphasized.
